Camera Shy
Q. I hate having my picture taken and am not comfortable in front of the camera. Have you got any advice for people like me?!
A. Hayley Bray says: This is a common problem and I'd say probably 75% of my brides say exactly the same thing!
You'll spend a large part of your day with your photographer close by and so it's important it is someone you like and feel relaxed with as this will come across in your photos. If you feel that you click with someone, book them.
Also, if you have any insecurities or attributes you are concerned about, it's important to talk them through with your photographer, as any professional should be able to use lighting and posing to allow the features that you love, to be the focus point of your photos.
Practise your smile and your how you stand in the mirror, so that you are at least aware of what you are happy with, and what you think may look forced or uncomfortable.
Finally, maybe arrange a pre wedding shoot as this is a great way to get to know each other and is almost a rehearsal for the day itself. |
